The Spanish Language School (SEPA) is located in San Isidro de El General, a picturesque and friendly small city in the county of Pérez Zeledón. This rural community is located 135 km south of San José, the capital, and it is known as the gateway to southern Costa Rica where life is very much like the old times with a touch of progress. The region's topography is diverse and includes the highest mountain in Costa Rica (3820 m.a.s.l.), Mount Chirripó, which is located in the Chirripó National Park. An extensive valley with an average altitude of 700 meters above sea level, and the low lands of the Pacific Coast accompany it. Therefore, the varied topography of the region that extends from the high mountain plateaus to marine environments allows the existence of different microclimates that explain the great wealth of flora and fauna in the region. The average temperature is 23.7ºC (74.7ºF) and precipitation is about 3800 mm annually.
Pristine beaches, tropical rain forest, cloud forest, cold and windy forest characteristic of Talamanca, the highest Costa Rican mountain, Chirripó National Park and many other beautiful places can be easily reached from the study Center.

Similarly, San Isidro offers all the services that one may need. For example, you will find modern banks, restaurants with a wide variety of menus, recreational and sport places, discotheques, bars, casinos, internet service among others.
We have a gorgeous garden. There are tropical flowers such as heliconias, buganvilla, and gardenias. We have bananas, pineapples, orange trees, mangoes, limes, papayas, avocados, and mandarinas growing on our property along with medicinal plants such as lemongrass, guarumo, and cinnamon. The air is fresh and scented with exotic flowers.
Classes may be held in the garden with a fabulous view of the mountains that surround our school.
